A Symphony of Loss: A Collective Journey of Sound, Writing, and Community

  • Discover Your Spiritual Gifts 7500 E. Arapahoe Road, Suite 240 Centennial, Colorado, 80112 United States (map)

This half-day intensive workshop offers a compassionate, supportive space to explore and harmonize loss through sound, writing, and connection. Participants will be encouraged to feel sound, words, and belonging deep in their bodies to awaken, access, and witness hard-to-reach emotions, grounding their experience in somatic awareness.

By engaging in community storytelling, each participant will contribute one paragraph consecutively to a shared story about grief—woven from multiple perspectives into a unified narrative. The group will select a prompt to build upon, beginning with a brief somatic exercise before writing. A volunteer will then read the completed story aloud, inviting collective reflection on the passage.

Amanda and Jessica will also guide participants through Giving Grief a Voice, a powerful writing exercise where each person writes a letter to their grief—acknowledging, honoring, and kindly releasing it. This gentle process creates a safe space to release stored grief and fill those empty places with healing comfort, fostering true transformation.

The two published authors will also teach useful writing skills and techniques to support creative expression, giving writers the option to incorporate into their work on the spot or in the future.

Together, these elements cultivate connection, meaning-making, and shared healing in a nurturing environment where grief can be explored, expressed, held, and transformed into hope, healing, and gratitude.

$149 | Lunch will be served.
